Little House ABC Samplers

Fabric: 32 count Country French Cafe Mocha Linen from Wichelt Imports. Each little sampler is 63 stitches square which is approx. 3-7/8". If you plan to stitch them in in a nine-block square, leave three stitches between and your finish will be close to 12" all around. Add maybe six inches to that to stitch them all on a piece of fabric 18" square. If you change thread count you will need to change the measurements.

Threads: These threads will be used throughout the nine designs. You can purchase them as each design is released or purchase all in anticipation of what's to come. The choice is yours! Classic Colorworks: 12-Grain, Camouflage, Hazelnut, Honeycomb, Gingerbread, Hickory Sticks, Pebble Beach, Roasted Chestnut, St. Bernard, Weeping Willow, and Poblano Pepper. DMC: 951, 976, 3721 and 3726.

Finishing: The model stitching and finishing was done by Mary Kathryn Peter. Each design was made into a sweet little pillow to sit in a bowl as a grouping. The finished size measures 4-1/4". The trims repeat every other pillow. Trim #1 is a set of three fabric covered buttons (5/8") that match the fabric backing which are sewn to the top edge and tacked with a tiny dab of glue. Trim #2 are tassles made from DMC on all four corners. Choose one of Mary Kathryn's ideas or pick your own!
